prudns plays
the rooms that
actually matter.
Small stages, packed rooms, and songs built for late nights around Melbourne's DIY venues. This is the home base for gigs, releases and everything else the project is up to in 2026.
Who's behind prudns
prudns is a Melbourne-based indie project built on hooks that stick and lyrics that don't take themselves too seriously until they suddenly do. What started as bedroom demos turned into a full live show doing rounds of the city's best small venues — Brunswick Artists Bar, The Curtin, The Gaso, Colour and more — sharing bills with acts like Telenova, Sex On Toast and Amaya Laucirica along the way.
Every release is written, recorded and mostly self-produced between gigs, with the live band pulling the songs somewhere rougher and louder than the studio versions. If you've caught a set in the last couple of years, chances are it was in a room with sticky floors and a very good sound guy.
2026 is shaping up to be the busiest year yet, with new music in the works and more shows being added to the calendar regularly — scroll down for the full list.

Every dollar goes straight back into recording, pressing and getting to the next gig. If a song's ever meant something to you, a small donation goes a long way for an independent artist doing this the DIY way.
